The Capital Management team has the mandate to play a leadership role in the identification and assessment of capital related risks to support the company's business strategies and financial objectives.
Responsibility:
Fully responsible for local regulatory capital reporting such as C-ROSS solvency, annual solvency stress testing and any other capital & solvency related matters.
Highly involved in the C-ROSS Phase 2 development as well as the industry testing.
Actively find solutions reducing cost of capital improving financials such as NBV, EV and ALM
Closely work with Regional Office for any capital related items including DCAT, Capital Plan, Quarterly Capital Analysis as well as the Solvency Early Warning Tests
Work with global CALM (Canadian Asset Liability Method) team review C-IFRS reserve and optimize CALM yield enhancing C-IFRS earnings.
Help management team propose annual capital remittances to shareholders
Build and maintain Axis actuarial models on both liability and asset calculation
Work effectively with different areas within the company such as investment, risk and pricing to quantify potential capital impact under different investment strategy and assets mix
Requirements:
More than 3 years actuarial working experience
Major in Actuarial Science, Math and Stats
Strong communication skills, fast learner, good work attitude and willing to take ownership
