Title：Property Treaty Underwriter About the role：
"This position can be designated either Assistant Vice President or Vice President level. Level will be determined based on the candidate's qualification"
Underwrites treaty business in a professional way, in line with Group standards and best practice. Provides feedback to the clients in term of RI program design, portfolio steering, risk management, etc. Takes responsibility for an impeccable admin process, documentation and the filing of relevant information, decisions and binding contractual obligations. Takes responsibility for data entry of production and reporting systems. Periodically visits clients to learn their business updates, strategies and area for Swiss Re to support. Builds up a network of contacts with RI managers/underwriters/sales in primary companies. Provides high-quality services to targeted clients, differentiates Swiss Re from other competitors. Participates in relevant marketing activities (workshop, seminar, etc.) to increase Swiss Re's franchise value. Identifies product development opportunities. Works with primary insurance companies to design the coverage, policy form and pricing. Identifies transaction opportunities, understands client's need and tailors structured solutions. Contributes to a strong Underwriting Network across all Lines of Business within the Business Unit and across the region.
About the team：
The property treaty department (Asia hub) is responsible for high quality underwriting of property business within the Asia-Pacific region and within stated underwriting authorities. It delivers timely and customized solutions which add value for both client and Swiss Re which special focus on natural catastrophe and emerging markets. Our department has underwriting desks at the following locations: Sydney, Tokyo, Beijing and Singapore.

About You
Education: University Degree Professional experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Strong technical underwriting background working experience in a primary insurance company is preferred Good at data analytics. Flair for numbers.
Personal qualities:
Strong written and verbal communication in Chinese and English; Demonstrated self starter and effective problem solver; Results orientated with an ability to influence and drive resolution in cross functional teams; Excellent team player including ability to work well with cross -function and -culture deal teams; Strong entrepreneurial mindset and focus on execution
